Central Ohio couple’s home vandalized with anti-gay graffiti

A gay couple in the Columbus suburb of Grove City awoke Wednesday morning to find an anti-gay slur painted on their garage door, house and fence.  David Robins and his partner Michael have reported the crime to police, who are investigating the case as vandalism until an official classification of a hate crime can be made.

Robins told Columbus’ NBC4, “It’s extremely disappointing. Nine years we’ve lived here and not a problem. Now, all of a sudden this happens. It makes me kind of wonder.”

In an interview with WBNS 10, Robins said that what they plan to do about it might shock some people.  ”"I’m keeping it up.  If I have to decorate for Christmas, I will. I want people to see this, this is what hate looks like. This is what intolerance looks like.”
