OutServe, an organization dedicated to supporting LGBT military personnel, has announced their first conference, the OutServe Armed Forces Leadership Summit which will take place Oct. 13-16 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is open to all active military, veterans, civil servants and civilians interested in helping create a better environment for LGBT individuals in the military.

According to the organizers, the summit “will provide an international forum on creating an environment of respect in the military with regards to sexual orientation and gender identity.  It will provide the LGBT military community a means of building professional networks, sharing best practices and formulating strategies that help build a stronger military community. The Summit will boast intriguing and groundbreaking panels and workshops that are dedicated to building a stronger and more inclusive military community.”
